Where Horses & Nature Guide the Healing & Learning
Horsemanship and Riding Instruction
At Lasata Farm, we embrace the healing power of horses in a peaceful environment for growth. Here, you’ll find balanced seat riding instruction for beginner through advanced riders. Our staff is capable and qualified to work with riders with unique needs.
While we create the framework for physical and emotional wellness through quiet moments and gentle guidance, our experience is only part of the process. Our animals initiate kinships that lead to peaceful hearts and health in body, mind and spirit.
Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and Learning
Sharing the presence of an animal that communicates honestly and consistently builds confidence. Each interaction is meaningful. Each approach is unique. Learning to understand these cues affects other relationships in our lives.
Our team of equines and certified equine specialists offer equine assisted growth and learning along with psychotherapy sessions. We create space for learning and personal growth by partnering with licensed mental health professionals who incorporate equine assisted learning and psychotherapy to our clients as an adjunctive offering to their own.
Summer Camps For Children and Adults
Fostering a love of outdoor experiences can have a lifelong impact. Conquering an initial fear, or experiencing a newfound ability can generate the grit to face other barriers or unpredictable circumstances.
We offer summer camps for children 6 years old and older. Our programs are designed to be inclusive for those with disabilities, as needed. Our camp curriculum is a well-rounded horsemanship experience where no prior experience is necessary.

I'm sorry
Hi followers!
THIS IS A VERY IMPORTANT POST!
From now until June 6th, Lasata Farm will be raising funds to honor a very special family to us. For those directly connected to the farm, Ed and Marybeth graciously share their beloved Toby, a beautiful paint quarter horse, with our students and clients. Please help us help Ed’s team, Alienate ALS, for the Mid-Atlantic ALS United Walk in Hershey, PA by making a tax deductible donation. All donations go towards research and resources for those living with this terrible disease. Help us help Ed’s team raise necessary funds to help others with ALS!
The donation link is in the comments. No donation is too small or too big.
I also ask you to hold this family in your prayers and thoughts at this difficult time. ... See MoreSee Less

Isn't this the truth! I'm so grateful to have understanding owners, but sometimes it's hard to change up my lesson plan when my riders only have 2 days to lessen that I can tell the horse is having a rough day or the rider is.

Timing teaches what force never can.
Life doesn’t show up when we demand it.
It shows up when we’re ready to carry it.
Opportunities return.
People circle back.
Old ideas knock again — and this time, they make sense.
What feels like an ending is often just a pause.
A reroute.
A quiet preparation for the next version of you.
I’ve learned not to push the river.
To trust the rhythm.
To let things meet me where I am.
Because what’s meant for you doesn’t disappear.
It waits — until you’re ready to say YES. ... See MoreSee Less

One day you realise… it’s not about having more time. It’s about noticing what actually matters while you still have it. We live like there’s always another chance.
Another day to say the words.
Another moment to start.
Another tomorrow to slow down and appreciate what we already have.
But life doesn’t move backwards.
It moves quietly forward — one ordinary day at a time.
And one day you look around and understand…
the small moments were the big ones all along.
The conversations.
The laughter you almost rushed past.
The people who made you feel at home without trying.
Life isn’t asking us to do more.
It’s asking us to notice more.
To stop waiting for the perfect time.
To be present now.
To love louder.
To live softer.
To choose what actually matters while we still can. If this hits home, drop a ❤️ in the comments — and share this with someone who needs a gentle reminder to slow down and truly live. ... See MoreSee Less
