Lasata Farm provides an inclusive and holistic approach to horsemanship and riding instruction for beginner through advanced horse enthusiasts. We are a facility capable, qualified and certified to partner with individuals with unique needs.
At Lasata Farm we teach all aspects of horsemanship within the structure of our lessons. We accommodate many populations of riders with disabilities. We believe aspiring horse people should be exposed to and educated in all realms of care and management. Regardless of the horse person’s abilities, we strive to educate them in the essential equine communication skills, both on and off the horse.
We hold certifications in Centered Riding, PATH International (Therapeutic Riding Instruction and Equine Specialist of Mental Health and Learning) and Thorncroft Equestrian Center’s Certification for Riders with Disabilities and Certified Horsemanship Association. We have comprehensive experience with horse communication methodology and natural horsemanship approaches.
We make inclusion a priority.
Lessons are one hour in duration or less depending on the age and needs of the rider. Typically, each lesson includes grooming and preparing the horse before and after instruction.
We offer 6-week sessions throughout the year, structured primarily as private, semi-private and small groups. Through customized programming, let us show you how our facilities can serve your horsemanship and riding needs. Feel free to get in touch with us to discuss your desires and availability.
